Canon and Medium: Kamen RIder Decade / Live Action
Age: 22
Preincarnation Species: Human
Preincarnation Appearance: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130612174859/marios-high-school-days/images/b/b5/TsukasaKadoya.jpg
Any Differences: None
Starting Location: Locke City, NJ, USA.
Preincarnated History:
Not much is known about Tsukasa's early history, save that his parents passed away when he was young, and that he has a single living sister. He learned at an early age about the ability to traverse the worlds, something that his sister was able to control, but that he was incapable of. As he grew older, he became more and more restless, knowing that there were other worlds out there made him decide to start his journeys. Eventually, he either met up with, or founded an organization called Dai-Shocker, which was designed to help him take over these worlds. After some early successes, they came up against the first push back from the Riders. Tsukasa determined that the only way to defeat the Riders was to become like them, so he hired a scientist who would ultimately craft the DecaDriver and DiendDriver, two systems that could harness the power of the Riders. After some early attempts, he suffered a defeat that would not only relieve him of the DecaDriver, but also leave him stranded on a world without Riders, and without his memory.
He stayed in this world for roughly a year, spending time as a freelance photographer, despite the fact that his photographs always turned out odd. He referred to this the world rejecting him, as though he wasn't supposed to be there. However, he always stated to the people at the Hikari Studio that his goal was to capture the entire world on camera. Eventually, as the worlds started merging, Tsukasa was dragged back into the fray, as his friend Natsumi Hikari, as well as many civilians, were dragged into different worlds. After a meeting with a predecessor Kamen Rider, he was informed of his true duty: To destroy the Riders of the nine worlds, so that he could save the multiverse, and then, his journey began.
What came around was a "journey through the decades', as Tsukasa and his companions went through the different worlds, befriending the Riders of the nine worlds, and unlocking their powers for his own use, as well as growing as a person, despite the fact that he's ignoring his goal, and doesn't destroy the Riders. Eventually, he enters his own home world again, his memories returning. Returning to his place as the Great Leader of Dai-Shocker. His return was short-lived, as he was quickly betrayed by his sister and Shadow Moon. After reuniting with his team and saving the day, the Natsumi Studio crew continued on, until they finally arrived in the World of Rider War, where the 9 worlds finally merged into one, and the Riders were all trying to destroy each other. Eventually, after some events involving Dai-Shocker again, Tsukasa finally got started with his duty of destroying the Kamen Riders, turning them into cards and making them memories. In the end, he sacrificed himself to fully save the rest of the Kamen Riders, who in turn remembered him and brought him back. And after that, his journey continued.
Reincarnated History:
Tsukasa Keswick was born to a couple of high profile lawyers living in Las Vegas, Nevada. While he was in school, he always seemed to excel in classes, leaving his parents to assume that he would eventually become a partner in their law firm, or that he might become a doctor, something that would do the family proud. Unfortunately for them, he has always been a bit of a rebel, and decided that what he wanted to do was become a photographer. From Jr. High, he couldn’t be separated from his camera, finally becoming a member of his HS’s yearbook team. His family thought that it was just a phase, and that he’d eventually go with a better course of action, but he fought them at every turn. That wasn’t the only thing that he fought them over, as well. Being a somewhat traditional Japanese family (despite having their family names westernized when they emigrated), Tsukasa was never very happy with how they treated his little sister, patting her on the head and treating her like she was less than he was, and even not naming her a traditional Japanese name, but going for a western name for her, and even considered an arranged marriage for her, at one point.
Eventually, Tsukasa decided that it was time to leave, and accepted a scholarship to a college out in New Jersey, majoring in photography. He actually excelled in his photography classes, actually winning awards for some of his still photography. Where he did best, though, was with people. There was just something about the way that he used the camera on human subjects that made them come alive in a special way. He had found his calling. In his Senior year at college, he was recruited by an advertising firm, being made one of their top fashion photographers. Wanting to be able to have an artistic career as well as a professional one, Tsukasa came up with the professional name of ‘Tommy K’, while he still publishes his more artistic work under his legal name.
He was able to make a modest living, due to his close proximity to New York and their fashion industry. He is able to afford a medium sized house near the city, which was lucky for him, in that one day, his little sister, Lucy, decided to show up on his doorstep, two suitcases in hand. She explained to him that the fact he didn’t come home for Christmas was the last straw, and that she was moving in with him and changing schools so that she could be closer. Tsukasa made a quick, and honesty, somewhat awkward phone call home, explaining the situation, and requesting that Lucy stay with him. That way he could keep a better eye on her, and let her flourish away from their parents.
First Echo: Tsukasa’s first echo was caused by the fact that he witnessed Wise Snake, which returned his DecaDriver and Decade KamenRide card to him. This allows him to transform into the Armored 'Kamen Rider Decade' form. This form enhances his physical abilities (listed in the link).
Preincarnation Personality:
Tsukasa Kadoya is odd, for a Kamen Rider. Where most of them are anti-social, in some way, shape, or form, Tsukasa seems to take it to the extreme. He is arrogant, willful, and hypocritical, often calling people out for things that he himself has done. A prime example of this is in the World of Blade, where he called Kendame Kazuma out on his obsession with the rankings in B.O.A.R.D, when he kept complaining about his own ranking in the company. He seems to care little for his mission, and even less for the people that he comes in contact with on the worlds that he travels to, wanting nothing but to get finished with his mission and move on, moving one step closer to his own world. A lot of this comes from the fact that, before he lost his memories, he was the ruthless leader of a trans-dimensional organization known as Dai-Shocker, and he had the intention of traveling the world to destroy the only things that could stop them, the Kamen Riders.
Despite his aloof nature, Tsukasa has a driving need to be accepted. He has a need for people to acknowledge his abilities, as well as a need for people to trust him. He wants to find a place to belong, and a group of people that will accept him as he is. While he attempts to put on an air of negativity, once you get past that part of him, you'll find that he is both a strong ally, and a determined friend. He will sacrifice everything that he has for an ally, even going so far as giving his own life so that they can survive. He would do it with a smirk and a sarcastic remark, but he would do it willingly and without a second thought. There are a couple of examples of this in the series, but one of the most important ones involves the World of Black RX, where Tsukasa risked his life, not only to stop the villain Apollo Geist after he stole Natsumi’s life force, but also sacrificed part of his own life just so that she would come back, though he made everyone promise not to tell her.
Tsukasa is very aggressive. He usually attempts to make the first attack, and isn't the type to hold back when he's fighting. He's the type of warrior who feels that the best type of fight is one that's finished with one strike. He doesn't fight fair, and will be more than willing to take a cheap shot and mock his enemy if it would give him an edge in battle. His role is to be the destroyer of worlds, so that the multiverse can be saved, and the world that he started on would be restored to normal. It should be noted that he does still have some level of honor in battle, though, as he won't go out of his way to cripple someone who's injured, nor does he like killing a regular human. A prime example of his aggressiveness, and his willingness to ‘cheat’ in battle can be seen in the Finale movie, right at the beginning. As Violent Emotion form, he not only tricked a group of Riders into a small area, and utilized the ability ‘Clock Up’ to destroy a number of them before they even had a chance to fight back.
Tsukasa's role as the Destroyer is counteracted by role as the connector. He's not a fan of the role of Kamen Rider Decade, because all of the riders that he is supposed to destroy are also people that he has formed a connection with. He, to some extent, hates himself as much as he hates his mission, as he really doesn't want to be a bad guy anymore; he wants to be the leading man of a story. In his mind, he is the only person who is capable of keeping the memories of the previous Riders alive. It is his desire to keep everyone alive that is his greatest redeeming quality, as well as the lengths that he will go to do so, even sacrificing his very soul to do so. He does this for people whom he has formed a bond with. He does this for people who are his family. They may be from different worlds, and different times, but the bond of the Kamen Rider is something powerful, and through it, they are family. The Finale Movie shows all that Tsukasa was willing to give up, all of the hate that he was willing to take on to himself, just so that he could make sure that the Riders would never be forgotten. He gave up everything, even his own life, in order to make sure that they would all be remembered.
Tsukasa is also an extremely adaptable man, partially due to his lack of a home world to call his own, and partially due to the fact that he just seems to fit in to most situations. He can move in and out of a situation, acting almost as a social liquid, so that he can just fill the area that’s needed to be filled. This is shown quite a bit by his integrations into the worlds, as well as just how he interacts. In the Shinkenger crossover, even in a situation where he wasn’t a ‘main character’ in a story, he was able to properly work his way through the world and find out what was needed. In the world of Black RX and Black, he was able to take the role of Joe the Haze, and help make a man remember why he wanted to fight. By being able to take on these roles, and by just being able to adapt to the things that his travels throw at him, Tsukasa is able to further his mission, and learn more about the people he’s supposed to eventually connect with.
Any Differences:
Reincarnated Tsukasa is almost a complete 180 compared to his original counterpart, possibly due to the fact that he had a stronger parental influence for the majority of his life, rather than losing them when he was very young. His parents tried hard to teach their children the difference between right and wrong, and despite the issues that Tsukasa has with them, he did listen to them, and take that to heart. He’s a good man who’s trying to do good, rather than a terrible man who’s trying to be good.
Another difference that Tsukasa has from his original sense is that he’s actually friendly and caring. He wants to live his life in a way that would make the world smile, which is similar to his friend Yuusuke in his previous life. Kindness and friendliness is the name of the game for Tsukasa Keswick.
A third difference is his belief in loyalty, especially to his sister. He and Lucy have been through a lot together, and Tsukasa would do anything in his power to keep her safe, even going so far as to allowing her to live with him despite not being warned earlier. He will do anything to protect his friends and family, as they’re the most important thing in his universe.
Abilities:
Tsukasa is Balrog, and he has lots and lots of powers.
In all honestly, Tsukasa is a Kamen Rider whos ability is to turn into other Kamen Riders, mainly the 9 Heisei Era Kamen Riders, but he has been shown to be able to transform into the Showa Riders as well, as he transformed into Kamen Rider Ichigo in the Super Hero Taisen movie. Aside from taking on the forms of the different Riders, Tsukasa can also utilize their abilities. In his default Decade form, he can only use the abilities in their forms, but when he unlocks Violent Emotion, he can use the abilities without transforming from from that form.
Aside from this, Tsukasa seems to be able to literally integrate himself with any universe, which can basically translate into the thought that he’s just a true Jack of All Trades. In fact, he makes a comment to this effect during the series, as he’s the best at anything that he puts his mind to, as long as it’s not photography.

Roleplay Sample - Network:
[Tsukasa Kesswick has taken to only use the Network while in his powered up form, wanting to keep his mundane identity from his reincarnate one. Not that he’s embarrassed about being a Reincarnate, but because he wants to keep his little sister from knowing that he’s a masked super hero.]
This is Decade. I’m actually wondering if any of the other heroes around would like to spend some time training. I’ve noticed that I’m still kind of new to this ‘super heroic’ type of activity, and I just want to get better. We’ve gotta keep in shape to help protect the people, right?
[He sighs a little bit, his head drooping on the screen. He realizes how dorky he sounds at this moment. He’s glad that his face is covered with a mask.]
Uh, if anyone wants to do this, just meet me by the docks tonight, and we can get to work. Hope to see you there!
